Leadership with Experience

Paul Malinowski, a Rosetta executive who worked closely with Rosetta's co-founder for 28 years, succeeded him CEO in 2024. Malinowski joined Rosetta in 1994 as quality advisor. His focus on organizational development, team building and process improvement contributed to Rosetta's long-standing partnerships, including the Ricoh agreement. After becoming more involved in the business, he was promoted to VP of operations. In 2006, along with operations, he took on sales, marketing and business development. He led the sales team working closely with Ricoh partners and helped the company steadily gain industry recognition as a global leader in magnetic ink character recognition and payment solutions. Beginning in 2009 as executive vice president, Malinowski directed Rosetta's manufacturing, warehouse operations, inventory management and customer service operations. He continued as secretary on the Rosetta board of directors while retiring from day-to-day operations in 2022. Before joining Rosetta, Lt. Col. Malinowski served in the U.S. Army for 23 years in various command and staff positions. Malinowski holds a master's in public relations from Ball State University.

Leonard Stone joined the executive team in October 2024. He is a business executive with 51 years of experience and judgement in improving the operational effectiveness of companies in the office and computer products marketplace. Stone is a Rosetta board of directors member and has provided periodic consulting services to Rosetta since leaving Ricoh in 2008. Stone spent 15 years with Xerox and Delphax Systems (a Xerox acquired company), two years at Bull HN as VP of Marketing, five years with Fujitsu Products of America as global account manager, three years with Hitachi Printing Systems America as vice president of the Americas Printer Division and two years with Ricoh as they acquired Hitachi Printing Systems in 2006. He studied Business Administration at Loyola University, Los Angeles.

Bill Sano served Rosetta Technologies as chief financial officer for more than 21 years before moving to an advisory role on the board. He was named interim CFO in September 2024 and is responsible for hiring and training Rosetta's next financial lead. In this role Sano oversees accounting, finance, IT and human resource functions. His expertise is integrating the company's financial functions with line operations and developing systemic processes. Sano has more than 20 years' experience in a variety of industries. Before joining Rosetta Technologies, he worked with KPMG Certified Public Accountants, GE, Schlumberger Ltd. and CNF Menlo Logistics (acquired by UPS). Sano earned his BBA in accounting at Siena College in New York. He lives in Tampa, FL.

Jim Walling joined Rosetta Technologies in 2006 as Principle Xerographer to develop new MICR technology for the Pro Series printers. In his current role as Chief Technologist, Jim heads up the hardware and process development team for MICR conversion of all new printers as well as technical support of current printer products. Jim brings over 40 years of combined experience in xerographic imaging at Eastman Kodak, Heidelberg Digital, and Rosetta Technologies. At Kodak, Jim worked over 14 years to the rank of Research Associate in the Eastman Kodak Research Laboratories. In the Kodak Apparatus Division, and later in Heidelberg Digital, Jim served as group leader of product design team, Project Manager of a digital printer development program, and Product Manager for the Kodak/Heidelberg Digital Presses. Jim earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and his MS degree in Electrical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Jose Sepulveda joined the Rosetta Family in 1999. He has fulfilled multiple global service and support roles, building strong relationships with Rosetta's international partners. As Vice President, he oversees the customer technical support departments focusing on continually evaluating internal operations and striving to create efficiencies and improvements that can help the company to better serve their customers. Prior to joining Rosetta Technologies Sepulveda was a corporate manager for Danka Industries - taking on Service Manager, Acquisitions Strategic Support Manager, District Service Manager and Regional Service Manager roles while expanding the Danka footprint through acquisitions in Florida, Arizona and California. Sepulveda is a 12-year veteran of U.S. Naval Intelligence where he served as a crypto specialist in communications. While serving, Sepulveda earned a degree in electronics engineering from Illinois University.

Nate Schultz manages Rosetta's manufacturing, warehouse, inventory and shipping divisions. He also manages all of Rosetta's vendor relationships, ensuring raw materials, engineered MICR printers and supplies are available when needed. This requires process improvement and team building as well as skilled negotiation. Schultz joined Rosetta in 2019 as a customer support representative providing service and support to Rosetta's customers worldwide. Before joining Rosetta, Schultz served in the U.S. Army for nearly 12 years and spent more than 14 years learning the printer/copier business. Schultz holds a bachelor's of science and a master's in business administration - both from Troy University.
