Rosetta Technologies Introduces Next-generation LED Desktop MICR Multifunction Printer
The IM 430FbM MICR Multifunction Printer is a 45-page-per-minute black & white device employing LED imaging technology that uses separate drum and toner supplies. LED imaging allows the IM 430FbM to print high quality MICR checks at up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution without slowing down, while the twopart supplies offer low per-page costs and simplified maintenance.
Built for busy offices and corporate departments that need reliable MICR check printing capabilities in addition to everyday printing, copying, scanning and faxing, Rosetta Technologies' new IM 430FbM is a totally secure and compact multifunction system that easily fits on a desktop to perform all these tasks in one space-saving solution.
The IM 430FbM replaces the previous 42-ppm SP 4510SFM in the Rosetta MICR multifunction printer product line. "We know our customers are interested in reducing redundancy wherever possible. This machine allows users to execute complex office workflows while maintaining a secure MICR check printing solution in a minimal amount of space", states Rob Hullar, President of Rosetta Technologies. "The large touch screen control panel is customizable for every user. The next-generation controller allows for remote machine diagnostics, software updates and access to cloud services. The document feeder scans both sides of two-sided originals in one pass, and the paper supply is expandable. There's nothing this machine can't do." Users simply exchange the MICR toner cartridge and drum for standard (non-magnetic) supplies in seconds to leverage their investment in a check printer that also scans, copies, prints and faxes in any Windows, Mac or Linux/UNIX network environment. PostScript3 emulation and PCL drivers are standard; genuine Adobe® PostScript®3™ and native IPDS® are available as options to support more advanced general office and/or host print needs.
For MICR check printing applications, the IM 430FbM ships with Rosetta Technologies’ certified E13B and CMC7 MICR fonts, and includes a 3,000-page MICR toner starter cartridge. Optional CheckStream™ software is available to simplify MICR workflows and enable check printing onto blank check stock, eliminating the need to inventory preprinted check stocks. Rosetta combines its MICR expertise, fonts and software with Ricoh's proven hardware to deliver an end-to-end MICR printing solution perfect for bank branches, payroll companies, accounts payable departments, title companies and insurers producing volumes of checks and negotiable documents. In fact, Rosetta guarantees the IM 403FbM will print checks that meet or exceed ANSI and ABA standards for MICR adhesion, signal strength, character sharpness, and read rates when using Rosetta MICR fonts and supplies. Built for reliability, the IM 403FbM is rated to handle volumes of up to 10,000 pages per month. Powerful multi-layered security features such as data encryption, user authentication and Locked Print are standard to keep check printing workflows secure. For additional peace of mind, customers can add locking paper trays to keep check stocks protected.
The IM 403FbM MICR Multifunction Printer is available in four configurations. The Standard version includes a 10.1" tilting control panel, a 50-sheet Single-Pass Document Feeder, a 500-sheet paper tray plus 100-sheet bypass, and a 1.46 GHz Intel CPU with 2 GB RAM and a 320 GB hard disk drive. Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 Type B interfaces are available for a choice of shared network access or peer-to-peer connectivity for more control over MICR workflows. The IM 403FbM Secure version adds a keyed lock to the paper tray to safeguard preprinted check stocks. Customers with MICR plus host print applications can step up to the IM 403FbM IPDS loaded with genuine native IPDS. Add a locking paper tray to the IPDS version for the IM 403FbM IPDS Secure. Each of these ANSI-compliant MICR devices can be further customized with an optional offline stapler and up to three 250-sheet or 500-sheet paper trays to boost capacity to up to 2,100 sheets for non-stop productivity.
