Rosetta Technologies,
NetDeposit and Ricoh Printing Systems America complete the
coast-to-coast installation of IRD production-printing systems. TAMPA, FL, December 22, 2004 -- Rosetta Technologies Corporation reported today that it has now completed the sale and installation of a number of turnkey Image Replacement Document (IRD) production printing systems at a major customer's locations across the USA. IRDs or substitute checks have been mandated as legal tender by the "Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act," a law that went into effect on October 28, 2004. "These systems demonstrate that the Rosetta IRDPrint Director™ software is the only field proven product that is available today with complete print management functionality to fully leverage the advantages of the Check 21 act," said Rob Hullar, CEO of Rosetta Technologies. The systems each have the capacity to print up to 2.4 million IRDs per month. They represent the combined performance of NetDeposit, Inc.'s Distributed Print Server™, Rosetta's IRDPrint Director™, and Ricoh Printing Systems America's (RPSA) DDP 92 laser printer, engineered by Rosetta Technologies for ANSI-compliant MICR output. The DDP 92 MICR printers are managed by Rosetta Technologies IRDPrint Director™ providing a complete and extensible printing solution that outputs substitute checks that meet the ANS X9.100-140-2004 standards in any of the required formats. The IRDPrint Director™ provides conversion, job sorting and re-composition, queue management, load balancing, audit and security functions, and printer fail-over protection. In close partnership with NetDeposit, Inc, a leading innovator of Check 21 software products for the financial industry. Rosetta Technologies has created an input processing module for IRDPrint Director™ that accepts both ANS standard X9.90/100 input and the more efficient "Image Replacement Document Print Markup Language (IPML)" format created by NetDeposit. "The IRDPrint Director™ software allows for the effective rendering of IRDs and provides for very fine control over document composition. It was also designed to drive our MICR laser printers at rated speed, when most printers slow down due to the heavy data load of the IRD image files, a very important consideration for production print environments," said Hullar. "This was truly a team effort approach by NetDeposit, RPSA, Rosetta Technologies and our mutual customer," he added. "As an Enterprise MICR Solution partner in NetDeposit's Printer Provider Partner Program, Rosetta Technologies provides robust MICR laser printing solutions from 20 to 184 impressions per minute. Using IRDPrint Director™ software, banks and third party processors can now select the combination that best meets their output requirements." "Endorsed MICR check printing systems
like Rosetta Technologies' family of products, coupled with NetDeposit's
Distributed Print Server product and Rosetta's IRDPrint Director™
provide tested solutions that bring a secure, integrated and cost
effective way to produce high quality IRDs," stated Danne Buchannan, CEO
of NetDeposit, Inc. "As the first-to-market, standard-setting leader in
IRD development and production solutions, it has been imperative that we
acquire best-of-breed partners to deliver our end-product IRDs," he
added. "Rosetta Technologies' MICR engineering skills, software
capabilities and reputation makes them a valuable ally in addressing
this vital new market." Rosetta Technologies provides a range of printing solutions to accommodate banks and third party check item processors in centralized and remote locations. About Rosetta Technologies
