TallyGenicom Announces
Partnership with Rosetta Technologies FOR RELEASE October 19th, 2005 CHANTILLY, VA, (October 19, 2005) – TallyGenicom, one of the largest privately-held companies focused exclusively on printing solutions, today announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with Rosetta Technologies, a leading provider of document and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) check printing solutions. Rosetta Technologies will provide advanced MICR printing solution support for several of TallyGenicom's growing line of monochrome laser printers. These solutions include Rosetta engineered MICR enhancements to the printers, printer-specific MICR toner cartridges, MICR fonts and software.
The printers will produce MICR output that will meet ANSI and ABA standards for checks, as well as substitute checks, compliant with recent Check 21 legislation. Check 21 provides for electronic clearing of checks, and makes Image Replacement Documents (IRD) legal and negotiable copies of the original check. Rosetta is the leading supplier of Check 21 IRD printing software in the USA. TallyGenicom MICR laser printers, combined with Rosetta's IRDPrint™ software and paper stock, will provide a complete and robust IRD printing solution. “This relationship offers TallyGenicom a new printing solution to our financial institution customers who are planning to implement Check 21 printing technology,” says Lance Wolak, Director of Marketing at TallyGenicom. “MICR technology is revolutionizing the way banks and consumers conduct transactions and we're excited to be at the forefront of the market.” “We are very pleased to be working with TallyGenicom to provide a complete line of high quality MICR printers,” said Rob Hullar, CEO of Rosetta Technologies. “Our family of MICR printers is a perfect fit for the new Check 21 market and traditional check printing applications.”
MICR-enabled printers are available on the
TallyGenicom 9025, 9035 and ML450 monochrome laser printers.
