Frequently Asked Questions about IRDPrint OnSight
How does the IRDPrint OnSight software work?
Click for Answer +/-
IRDPrint OnSight transforms X9 Image Cash letter files into printed IRDs that comply with the industry standard X9.100-140 specification for an Image Replacement Document using industry-accepted business rules.
When X9 image cash letters are downloaded from the FedLine Web® or other item processing partner, IRDPrint OnSight provides an easy-to-use interface that allows users to monitor the status of the files with color-coded alerts of file statuses like printing successes, warnings and failures. It manages the printing and reprinting of IRDs as well as advanced auditing and reporting functions.
Why can’t I purchase a regular printer to print my IRDs?
Click for Answer +/-
All IRDs are printed on blank IRD stock. As with checks, the MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) line containing the routing and account number must be printed with MICR ink or toner. Unlike checks, IRDs can not be preprinted and then run through a regular printer. Therefore IRDs must be printed using a MICR printer.
Can I return IRDPrint OnSight?
Click for Answer +/-
Customers may return IRDPrint OnSight to Rosetta Technologies within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price, excluding original shipping charges. The system must be returned in good condition and working order with all components and all related documentation and manuals, and in its original packaging materials, ordinary wear and tear excepted. A valid Return Material Authorization must be received from Rosetta Technologies prior to returning the system.
What type of warranty is included?
Click for Answer +/-
A one-year Express Exchange warranty is included with IRDPrint OnSight. The Express Exchange warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that cannot be resolved through telephone assistance. Once authorized, a replacement printer is shipped at no charge via ground transportation, and the defective printer is returned at no charge using the packing materials from the replacement printer. In order to qualify for this warranty it is important to register the product at http://www.rosettatechnologies.com/onsight-registration.
What should I do if I have issues installing the system?

An in-depth installation guide is included with this product and should provide the necessary assistance in getting IRDPrint OnSight installed and fully functioning. However, if further assistance is required, a Rosetta technician is available Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET.
How can I get started with the Fedline Web® ?
Click for Answer +/-
These instructions, excerpted from the Federal Reserve's web site, will assist you in getting started with the FedLine Web. For the full, detailed instructions visit http://www.frbservices.org/service offerings/access/fedline_web_intro.html.
FedLine Web Setup
Step 1 - Review Rules and Regulations
Prior to establishing FedLine Web-based access, your organization must
be authorized to use Federal Reserve Financial Services. It is each
organization's responsibility to review its internal controls and
procedures to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place when using
FedLine access solutions.
Step 2 - Review the Hardware and Software Requirements
Review the FedLine Web® Hardware and Software Requirements:
http://www.frbservices.org/servicesetup/access/fedline_web_hardware_software.html
If you need assistance at any point, contact the Customer Contact Center:
http://www.frbservices.org/contacts/index.jsp
Step 3 - Designate End User Authorization Contacts (EUACs)
Authorize at least two employees at your organization to serve as
(EUACs). The EUAC is the "trust anchor" at your organization who has the
authority to designate authorized individuals (Subscribers) who will
transact business via a FedLine access solution.
To authorize an EUAC, print and complete the Federal Reserve Bank End
User Authorization Contact Form (PDF):
http://www.frbservices.org/files/forms/access_solutions/pdf/FormEUAC.pdf
When the completed form is received, a credential will be issued to the
EUAC. The EUAC will use the credential to access the EUAC Center, which
enables the EUAC to reset FedLine subscriber passwords and access
Subscriber reports and FedLine documentation. The completed form must be
signed by an individual listed on your organization's Official
Authorization List (OAL).
If your organization does not have an OAL, review and submit Board
Resolution and Official Authorization List (OAL) (PDF):
http://www.frbservices.org/files/servicesetup/accountservices/pdf/oal_board_resolutions.pdf
Step 4 - Request Access for Subscribers
Based on the services selected, Subscribers will be issued the
appropriate credentials. To obtain credentials for your organization's
Subscribers, your organization's EUAC should complete a separate Federal
Reserve Bank External Subscriber Request Form for each individual who
will be authorized to access a FedLine access solution: http://www.frbservices.org/Electronic-Access/app/SubSetupAgreement.jsp.
Step 5 - Schedule a Production Date
Once your paperwork is received, a representative from the FRB will call you to finalize the sign-up process and
establish a production date for your organization.
Step 6 - Install Java browser plug-in (FedImageSM Retrieval Users Only)
Customers accessing FedImage Retrieval services need to install a
compatible Java browser plug-in, as noted in the FedLine Web Hardware
and Software Requirements.
Step 7 - Receive Credential
Once a Subscriber's credentials are created, the Subscriber and the
appropriate EUAC will be provided with the credential activation
information and instructions.
Step 8 - Export or Remove a Certificate (Certificate Users Only)
Certificate information must be kept secure. This will ensure that the
certificate is readily accessible for use by the Subscriber in a
contingency situation. Procedures for exporting certificates can be
found in the FedLine Web Customer Contingency User Guide (PDF).
http://www.frbservices.org/files/servicesetup/access/pdf/certificate_contingency_guide.pdf
Step 9 - Your integration to the FedLine Web is complete. At this point you can implement and begin use of IRDPrint OnSight.
