ITT Interconnect Solutions Utilizes Rosetta’s CheckStream™ Software to Eliminate Pre-Printed Check Stock

About the Customer

ITT Interconnect Solutions is a global manufacturer and supplier of connectors, interconnects, cable assemblies, I/O card kits, LAN components, and highly engineered custom solutions. The Interconnect Solutions portfolio includes the brands Cannon, VEAM, BIW, and Sealectro. ITT Interconnect Solutions is part of ITT Corporation, an $11.6 billion global engineering and manufacturing company.

The Situation

ITT Interconnect Solutions was utilizing SAP to interface with a dot matrix printer for printing more than 700 checks per month. The checks were output on pre-printed check stock. Though this solution met their check printing needs, they did recognize that the pre-printed check stock did create its own risks, and manual processes.

In 2009 the company transitioned to a new bank, which began refusing their checks because of quality issues. ITT saw this as an opportunity to move to a solution that would not only meet their bank’s requirements but also improve their check printing processes and eliminate the need for pre-printed check stock, manual reconciliation and auditing.

Rosetta Technologies’ Solution

ITT selected Rosetta’s CheckStream Professional and a SP 8200DN MICR printer. This solution creates an end-to-end payment processing system.

When combined with pressure seal selfadhesive paper and a Rosetta folder/sealer, the solution automated the entire check printing process, including post processing.

CheckStream Professional works seamlessly with accounting software platforms by supporting encrypted digitized logos and signatures, which merges the check information from the accounting platform and prints in one pass. Once an item is printed it is immediately reconciled and available for auditing and reporting.

The Outcome

The implementation of Rosetta Technologies’ CheckStream Professional and SP 8200DN MICR printer has allowed ITT to fully transition to blank check stock, eliminating any need for preprinted check stock. Most importantly has been the ability to openly store the stock rather than having a designated secured area.
